About Moore Park View Hotel

The Moore Park View Hotel was established on the current site in 1932 and has been the only constant in the everchanging local landscape. Originally an early opener, the bar was often crowded six deep at 6.00am, six days a week. As shifts ended at the adjacent tram depot (now the Supa Centa), ACI Glassworks and Tooths Brewery (now the Meriton complex), the night crews would arrive en masse to slake their thirst before heading home.

The pub has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of the locals. Today, with a wide selection of drinks, great pub food, live sport and a cosy beer garden, the MPVH often serves as an extension of the lounge and dining rooms of the 1,000’s of surrounding apartments – where locals come to watch sport, entertain friends or just drop in for a quiet drink and meal.

A consistent feature at the MPVH over the last nine decades is the warm hospitality of the generations of publicans, as well as the smiles and friendly ears of the hotel staff that have heard thousands of tales of excitement and woe over the years.
