About The Blacksmith Bar
From the same team who brought you Katuk and Maeve Fox, Pratt Hospitality Group have now brought The Blacksmith to Swan Street Richmond.
The original structure of 69 Swan Street dates back to 1924, as McNaughton’s Ironmongers which can still be seen on the facade. We drew inspiration from this for the entire venue. Everything from the name of the venue, the query antique-prohibition style decor, the cocktail menu and even the staff uniforms play on the history of the structure.
A complete overhaul and renovation was completed on the ground floor, ultimately creating our breath-taking main bar. After several weeks of structural upgrades, 69 Swan Street has been revitalised and given new life with a combination of eclectic surfaces, state of the art technology and most importantly; personality which will continue to develop for years to come.
The Blacksmith cocktail menu is designed to be uncomplicated and simplistic; a paired back list, paying homage to the old classics.
The Blacksmith opened it’s doors to the public on Thursday 5th September 2019.
