About Hotel Trentham

Since 1926, Hotel Trentham has been a cornerstone of the community. Every pub has a story, but some, like this one, are woven more deeply into the fabric of their town. In every great place, there’s at least one pub where locals gather—a place that's more than just a venue; it's a part of the town's identity.

Hotel Trentham isn't about grandeur; it's about authenticity. With honest, hearty pub food and a welcoming bistro for families, it's a place where a familiar beer is always on tap and the staff greet you with a warm smile. The public bar offers the kind of space where stories are shared, tall tales are spun, and everyone, no matter their background, feels at home. The roots of this pub go back to 1926, and after seven months of thoughtful renovation, it reopened on January 10th, 2024. The restoration honors its rich history while giving it a fresh face, ensuring that Trentham’s High Street remains home to a pub that’s integral to the town's evolving narrative.

Open every day of the year, Hotel Trentham embraces the tradition of being a true public house—no reservations needed, just walk in and be taken care of. The bistro serves lunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and dinner from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, while the public bar is open from 11:00 am with a menu available all day until 8:00 pm in both the bar and the beer garden. Meals are available to take away, including most of the bistro’s offerings, though the Kids Menu is dine-in only.

Tucked away in a cozy corner is the Wine Room, featuring an extensive collection of wines from regions as far-flung as New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, alongside some of Australia’s best regional labels. Local wines also shine here, with a selection of great bottles and specials to enjoy on-site or take home. It’s a quiet retreat from the crowd where guests can unwind with a glass in the elegant ambiance of this hidden gem.

Hotel Trentham’s accommodations offer a perfect balance of comfort and convenience. The two-bedroom villas, located less than 100 meters from the pub, provide a stylish and comfortable retreat for up to four adults and two children. With undercover parking at the door and the town’s restaurants, cafes, galleries, and boutiques just a short walk away, guests can experience all that Trentham has to offer with ease.

Hotel Trentham continues to add new chapters to the town’s long and storied history, serving as both a tribute to its past and a vibrant part of its present.
