About Royston Hotel
The Royston pub holds the distinction of being the first in Melbourne to prominently feature microbrewery beers. Despite the emergence of several imitators, it has maintained its position as the leading microbrewery pub. Their focus on quality over quantity is evident through a regularly changing selection of 10 microbrews on tap and one on the traditional hand-pump tap. The staff, who have a deep knowledge and passion for the beer they serve, create an environment perfect for enjoying the amber-colored liquid, making it the best beer experience in Melbourne.
Apart from the beer, The Royston's food reputation has also grown, and they are now considered a gastropub. Other pubs in the area are vying for the same title, often with a celebrity chef leading the way and high prices to match. In contrast, the unassuming kitchen team has been winning rave reviews. Unlike many figureheads, Rob is hands-on in the kitchen daily and creates the incredible menu available in both the front bar and dining room.
The Royston takes pride in offering a venue that provides a comfortable, home-like feeling as soon as you enter. This is evident in their friendly front bar, cozy restaurant, amazing selection of beers on tap, and pool room. They invite people to bring their friends for a bite or drink and experience what it feels like to be right at home.
